A marketplace for local communities
Suuq is a community marketplace where people across Africa can discover, buy and sell items locally. Our mission is to make local trade simpler and help buyers and sellers find one another more easily.
How Suuq works
Browse or search listings, explore categories and open an item to review its details. Signed-in users can contact the seller through Suuq messaging, ask questions and agree directly on collection, payment and the other terms of the sale.
What Suuq provides
Suuq provides listings, search, categories, private messaging, account and listing management, favourites and reporting tools. These features are designed to make finding, offering and discussing local items straightforward on both mobile and desktop.
Trust and safety
Suuq supports safer local trade with listing review, account controls, reporting tools and practical guidance. Users should still inspect items and take sensible precautions before completing a transaction. Read the Safety guidance or review the Terms of Use for more information.
Payments and user responsibility
Suuq does not currently process, receive or hold payments. Buyers and sellers arrange payment, delivery or collection and all other transaction terms directly. Each user is responsible for assessing listings, communicating carefully and deciding whether a transaction is suitable.
Support and reporting
Use the reporting options on Suuq if you encounter a suspicious listing, user or conversation. Signed-in users can also send support, privacy or security enquiries through the Suuq report form. How personal information is handled is explained in the Privacy Policy.
