Signed-in users can submit privacy and security enquiries through the Suuq report form.
Who is responsible for your data
Suuq is responsible for personal data processed through this marketplace. Account information can be reviewed and corrected in Account settings.
Information we collect
We process account details, name, contact information, city, listings, uploaded images, favourites and reports. The seller phone number is disclosed only to a signed-in user who requests it from an active listing. We also process limited security and device information needed to prevent abuse. Precise browser location is used only after permission to rank nearby listings and is not stored by Suuq in the current version.
Why we use information
We use data to perform the requested service, operate accounts and listings, enable communication, protect the marketplace, provide support and meet legal obligations. Optional device location is based on consent. We do not sell personal data.
Service providers and international processing
Selected infrastructure and security service providers process only the limited information needed to operate, protect and deliver Suuq. Automated-abuse protection uses limited technical signals to distinguish people from bots. Security-service privacy information is available from the relevant provider. Processing may take place in more than one country under appropriate technical and contractual safeguards.
Retention and security
Active account data is kept while the account is used. Deleted data is removed or anonymised unless a limited copy is needed for fraud prevention, disputes, backups or legal duties. Security logs and reports are kept only for a proportionate period. Access is protected with database policies and administrative controls.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and may object where applicable. Account correction and deletion controls are available after sign-in. You can withdraw location permission in device settings and report marketplace safety concerns through the reporting tool. You may also complain to the data-protection authority that applies where you live.
Children and changes
Suuq is not intended for children who cannot legally enter marketplace agreements in their country. We may update this policy as the service changes and will show the current update date on this page.
